I have an interview this Wednesday! I just found out this afternoon. That seems weird to me -- but maybe it's because I just barely got my application in time. I guess I'll find out on Wednesday. This interview is for a special education job in a small school district, so it will be interesting to see how it goes. It's one of my top four district choices, although I've never actually seen the school so really I'm not basing that on anything. :-)
Today was a very fun day; I taught the funnest, coolest, and most creative 5th grade class ever. They had very interesting lessons too. My brain is now full of the rules for commas, the causes of impact craters, the Dred Scott decision and how it affected the Civil War, and how to multiply decimals by 10s, 100s, and 1000s. The only sad thing about my happy interview is that I cannot sub for this class again on Wednesday like I was scheduled. :-(
As far as the Mexico trip goes, we just found out that the kids will still be in school while we are there. We'll have about an hour a day with them, besides meals -- and of course we'll have all of Saturday with the beach trip. That leaves us more time for projects like painting, sanding, gardening, decorating, and other things they asked for volunteers to complete. We're now leaving in less than three weeks!!
The picture is from a hike when Hannah and Nate came for spring break. We had a good time although I had not previewed the hike I took them on, so it was pretty intensely hard especially on a rainy day! We were tired when we finished. :-)
